Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.bartonoperations.com or work with us, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you fill out a form, ask for a quote or email us, we collect what you share with us. That’s usually your name, email, phone number, company name and your message. If you become a client, we also collect billing details, such as your billing address and payment information, to invoice you and process payments.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours automatically collects some basic details when you visit:
- Your IP address and approximate location
- Your device and browser type
- The pages you visit, how long you stay, and how you got to our site
If you fill out a form, we may connect it to your earlier visits to our site. This helps us understand what you’re interested in.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Answer your questions and provide our services
- Keep track of our conversations with you
- Send invoices, process payments and keep financial records
- Send you updates or marketing emails, but only if you’ve agreed to receive them
- Keep our website secure and running smoothly
- See how people use our site so we can improve it
- Follow the law
We never sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with trusted companies that help us run our business:
| Company | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| VeeroTech Systems | Hosts our website |
| Cloudflare | Keeps the site fast and secure |
| Google Analytics | Shows us how visitors use the site |
| HubSpot | Manages our contacts, forms and emails |
| Microsoft 365 | Business email, documents and file storage |
| QuickBooks (Intuit) | Invoicing, payments and accounting |
These companies can use your information only to provide their services to us.
We may also share information if the law requires it, if our business is sold or merged, or if you ask us to.
Cookies
Cookies are small files that websites save on your device. We use them in three ways:
- Security (Cloudflare): Protects the site from bots and attacks. These cookies are required for the site to work.
- Analytics (Google Analytics): Shows us which pages are popular and how people find us. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Marketing (HubSpot): Remembers your visits. If you fill out a form, it links those visits to your contact details. If you’re on our email list, it also tells us whether you open our emails or click the links.
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics and marketing cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly without the required cookies.
To learn more, see the privacy policies for Cloudflare, Google and HubSpot.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it, usually for as long as we work together plus a reasonable time afterward. You can ask us to delete it at any time, unless the law requires us to keep it. We keep billing and financial records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, even if you ask us to delete your other information.
How we protect it
We use secure connections, Cloudflare’s security tools and other safeguards to protect your information. Online payments are handled securely by Intuit; we don’t store full card or bank account numbers. No website is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email.
- Ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we have about you.
- Control cookies through our cookie banner or your browser settings.
Depending on where you live, such as California, the EU or the UK, you may have more privacy rights. We’ll never treat you differently for using them. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request.
Where your data is stored
Our service providers may store your information in the United States or other countries. When the law requires it, we use approved safeguards to protect information that’s transferred internationally.
Children
Our site is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Other websites
Our site may link to other websites. We’re not responsible for how they handle your information, so please check their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top. For big changes, we may also let you know directly.
